Automatic PWM Fan Speed Controller

Fan speed controller based on the TC648 chip

SKU 7100-FK008Item type: Assembled, Kit

Description

Fan speed controller based on the TC648 IC. It adjusts and holds the running speed of DC fans according to the temperature measured in the area or on the heatsink that needs cooling. It works very simply: the fan reaches full speed (100% duty cycle) when the temperature goes above 45°C, runs slowly (42% duty cycle) when the temperature reaches 30°C, and stops automatically when the temperature drops below 20°C. Supply voltage between 12V and 18V.
Technical specifications
  • Fan at low speed (42% duty cycle): when the temperature reaches 30°C
  • Maximum fan speed (100% duty cycle): when the temperature goes above 45°C

Technical details

Supply voltage from 12V to 18V
Fan 12V
PWM duty cycle from 42% to 100%
Fan switch-off when the temperature drops below 20°C
PWM frequency 30 Hz
