This simple circuit, based on an astable multivibrator, makes the two red LEDs flash alternately. The project is an excellent introduction to the world of electronics, offering hands-on experience for aspiring makers. As well as being an educational exercise, the flasher has practical uses too, such as showing at a glance that a device is switched on, or timing specific events.
This flasher with 2 red LEDs is based on an astable multivibrator circuit. The circuit makes the two LEDs pulse alternately and is ideal for anyone taking their first steps in electronics.
It can be used in all sorts of situations: as a visual warning that a device is switched on, as the timing stage of a timer, and to make signals for a model railway layout.Soldering is required for assembly.
