It has just two leads and changes colour on its own as soon as it is powered, running from red to violet, blue, green and yellow.

Description

5 mm RGB colour-changing LED. It looks like an ordinary LED and so has only two leads: a positive one (the longer) and a negative one (the shorter, on the flattened side of the body). Wavelength: red 620 nm – green 520 nm – blue 460 nm, luminous intensity (if= 20 mA): red 750 mcd – green 1500 mcd, blue 750 mcd. Once powered, the LED changes colour automatically, starting with red light, then moving through lilac, violet, blue, green and yellow and back to red, beginning the cycle again.
