Description

The HDMI Extender is the professional solution for extending a Full HD 1080p video signal up to a maximum distance of 60 metres, using a single ordinary network cable, CAT5E or CAT6.

Designed to guarantee maximum HD quality (1080p/60Hz) over long distances, this extender is the ideal choice for eliminating the signal losses caused by long HDMI cables. The Plug & Play technology ensures quick, immediate installation, with no drivers or complex configuration needed.

It is the perfect solution for professional use in meeting rooms, for video conferencing, in distance learning environments, or for extending the video signal in smart working, retail and much more.

Important note: This model is optimised for HDMI digital video and audio transmission and does not include an analogue audio output (3.5mm jack).

Key features and benefits
  • Maximum distance: Extends the HDMI signal up to 60 metres using a single CAT5E or CAT6 network cable
  • Easy installation: Plug & Play technology that allows immediate, simple installation.
  • High speed: Supports a maximum bandwidth of 150 MHz and a transmission rate of 4.5 Gbps.
  • Versatility: Ideal for professional applications such as meeting rooms, distance learning and video conferencing.
When designing an audio/video installation it is essential to remember that the HDMI signal is a high-speed digital signal that degrades progressively as the cable gets longer.

What are the limits of passive HDMI cables?:

  • Between 7 and 10 metres: The first problems can show up on 4K signals, especially if the cable is not of very high quality or if it runs close to mains cables (interference).
  • Beyond 12-15 metres: The risk of “snow”, signal drop-outs or a black screen becomes very high for standard passive cables.
