Description

Converts an HDMI signal (type A) into a high-definition VGA signal (SUB-D) with audio. It can be used with the Raspberry Pi, Cubieboard, Cubietruck and so on. The pack also includes an audio jack lead and a USB to mini-USB lead (useful for devices that supply little current through the +5V pin of the HDMI cable).

Please note: the board and the loudspeaker are not included and are not for sale. Colour: black.

Setting it up with the Raspberry Pi

To use this converter with a Raspberry Pi you have to connect the board to the network and power it up.

Over an SSH connection with user pi and password raspberry, type:

sudo nano /boot/config.txt

Remove the hash (#) from the following lines:

hdmi_safe=1
hdmi_force_hotplug=1
hdmi_drive=2
config_hdmi_boost=4 #(set it to 4)

Save and exit with CTRL + X, Y and ENTER.

Finally, reboot the Raspberry Pi with

sudo reboot
