SKU 7100-FK022EAN 8219671120296Item type: Assembled, Kit

Description

This LED candle with ON/OFF function takes its inspiration from the candles traditionally used on birthday cakes. This DIY project recreates the whole experience: lighting the candles with a lighter and, after making a wish, blowing them out.

The LED candle kit is made up of two separate parts: an audio amplifier built around an NPN 9013 and a PNP 9012 transistor, and a switching circuit that includes a photodiode and a PNP 9012 transistor.

The kit works in a very simple way: in low light the circuit, powered from a supply between 4.5Vdc and 9Vdc, stays idle. Bring a light source close to the photodiode, a lit lighter for instance, and the LED starts to flicker, imitating a candle flame. To put the LED out, exactly as you would with a real candle, all you have to do is blow on the microphone built into the circuit

Soldering is required for assembly. Instructions are included and are available in Italian.
