RED LASER MODULE 100 mW – 640 nm

Laser module with red emission (640 nm) for industrial use, compliant with the EN60825-1 standard

SKU 8100-LAS100REDEAN 8219671049061Item type: Assembled

Description

Laser module with red emission (640 nm) for industrial use, compliant with EN60825-1. Each module is tested for 200 hours of continuous emission and subjected to 300 ON/OFF cycles; each unit is supplied with its own test certificate attesting to the emitted power and wavelength. The module can operate for 20 seconds without a heatsink or in continuous mode with a suitable heat-dissipating element. The module requires a supply voltage of 3 V DC and a current of about 200 mA. WARNING: the external metal housing is not electrically insulated.

Safety Standards

WARNING! This laser module belongs to Class 3B and is intended exclusively for industrial use by professionals and companies with specific expertise. Machines and devices built with such laser modules must be designed and constructed to avoid unintentional radiation and require adequate protection to ensure that neither the useful radiation, nor the radiation produced by reflection (or diffusion) and secondary radiation can harm health. Devices or equipment incorporating such modules must be certified according to the applicable regulations before being placed on the market or put into service. The safety measures and control means to be adopted in the adjustment and modification of lasers and/or laser apparatus are specified in Standard CEI EN 60825-1 and CEI 76-2.
