Description

USB to RS232 adapter for connecting computers that have a USB port to devices with an RS232 serial interface and a DB9 connector.

The device is based on the FTDI FT232RNL chip, a solution widely used in professional work thanks to its high compatibility, communication stability and long-term reliability. That makes it suitable even for industrial settings where operation has to be continuous.

It supports transmission speeds between 300 bps and 921600 bps, so it can be used both for configuration and diagnostics and in systems that communicate continuously with embedded devices.

Thanks to FTDI driver support, the device is normally recognised automatically by all the main operating systems, which simplifies installation and cuts down on manual configuration.

The 1.5 m cable with a black PVC jacket offers good flexibility and mechanical strength, so it also suits installation in technical and industrial environments.
