Description

This mini fridge is a DIY educational kit designed to cool small volumes using a 12V-powered Peltier 12706 module. The system includes heat sinks, cooling fans, a semi-transparent blue acrylic housing and a 12V 10A power supply.

Based on a Peltier module that uses semiconductor materials, the system generates cooling through the thermoelectric effect, with no compressor or refrigerant gases: a compact, quiet and eco-friendly solution, ideal for understanding the principles of thermoelectricity.

The kit has an educational purpose: it lets you directly observe and understand how a Peltier cell works and the mechanisms of heat exchange. It’s designed to introduce students, beginners and enthusiasts to the world of electronics and active cooling systems.

Once assembled, the device is able to cool small containers such as cans or bottles, providing a noticeable and appreciable cooling effect. Performance depends heavily on ambient temperature and the container’s insulation level.

Power consumption is around 60W, while the included 12V 10A power supply ensures an adequate power reserve for stable and safe operation.
