Description

Loudspeaker protection system. Combines the anti-bump function, which prevents the classic thump on the woofer when the amplifier is switched on, with disconnection in case of a short circuit on the output stage. It works in a very simple way. The circuit keeps the speakers disconnected via a relay until it determines that the output voltage, with no signal present, is zero (typically 1 to 2 seconds). After this start-up interval has elapsed, a relay is energized that connects the load until the circuit, which must be powered together with the amplifier, is switched off.
