Description

Nativity scene light control unit built around an ATmega328, the same microcontroller as the Arduino UNO. The unit can drive four LED lighting loads for a total of 6A running at 12Vdc. The microcontroller is supplied pre-programmed with the bootloader and with a sketch that handles four of the six available outputs (sun, stars, comet and flickering fire). The length of each phase (day, sunset, night and dawn) can be adjusted with trimmers. By editing the sketch you can make use of the two remaining outputs, change timings and sequences and add your own scenes. To upload the sketch you need to connect the unit to a PC running the Arduino IDE, using the USB/Serial converter cable (part no. 6168-FTDICABLE5V – sold separately). What is more, thanks to the clever MP3 module (part no. 9145-DFR0299 – sold separately), besides the lights the board can play back through a small loudspeaker the tracks of your choice held on a microSD card. This board lets you build a controller that goes well beyond the small or large nativity scene at home, all the way to the ones set up in churches, parish halls, community rooms and outdoors. Dimensions (mm): 140×90. Power supply: 12 Vdc (the current required depends on the load applied, but in any case no more than 6A).

The pack does not include the power supply, the FTDICABLE5V converter cable or the DFR0299 audio module.
