Description

With its LCD display, the Peak Atlas ZEN is an easy-to-use intelligent Zener diode analyser packed with functions. Designed mainly to analyse Zener diodes (avalanche diodes included), the Atlas ZEN is also excellent for measuring the conduction characteristics of many other types of component, such as ordinary diodes, LEDs, transient suppressors like VDRs, TVS and Transorbs (breakdown/clamping voltage measurement at various forward or reverse currents) and shunt voltage regulators. Dimensions: 103x70x20 mm. The pack contains: the analyser, the 12 V battery and the instructions.
ATLAS ZEN50 - Diode tester
Technical specifications
  • Supports the following components:
    – Zener diodes and avalanche diodes.
    – Shunt voltage references.
    – Conventional diodes and LEDs (for VF and dynamic resistance measurement).
    – VDRs, TVS, Transorbs, etc. (up to 50 V).
  • Selectable test currents: 2 mA, 5 mA, 10 mA and 15 mA.
  • Zener voltage (VZ) measurement.
  • Forward voltage drop measurement for forward-connected diodes.
  • Display of the selected test current.
  • Dynamic resistance measurement (sometimes called differential resistance).
  • Advanced boost circuit to support tests up to 50 V at 15 mA.
  • Constant test conditions to minimise Zener power dissipation (VBAT down to 1 V).
  • Reduced duty cycle to minimise Zener power dissipation.
  • Continuous measurements (typically 3 samples per second).
  • Gold-plated crocodile clip probe for low contact resistance.
  • Automatic and manual power off.
The pack contains
  • The ZEN50 diode meter + probe
  • One 12V battery
  • The instructions (in English and Italian)
