Description

This ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) is built to keep the flow of electricity steady and dependable. It suits both homes that draw on clean energy sources such as solar or wind and mobile settings such as campers and boats. The ATS senses changes in the energy source and switches over without a break, keeping things safe, comfortable and working in every situation.
This ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) is the part that keeps power flowing without a break, both in homes running on clean solar or wind energy and in mobile settings such as campers and boats.

In the home, the ATS does the central job in solar and wind installations, where sun or wind energy is turned into electricity to power the house. It is designed to sense the energy the solar panels are producing and to switch automatically between the supply from those panels and the supply from the mains grid. When solar energy is enough to cover the household’s needs, the ATS draws electricity from the panels. When solar production falls short, the ATS switches over to the grid so that the house stays powered without a break.

In campers, boats and other mobile applications, the ATS keeps power running while under way or when the main supply is not available. Here the ATS can be wired to a backup battery. When the main supply, such as the camper’s or boat’s main battery, runs down or is interrupted, the ATS detects it and switches over to the backup battery. That keeps critical equipment on board running without unwanted interruptions: lighting, appliances or electronic instruments.

In both cases the ATS keeps the equipment running without a gap, which is what safety, comfort and usability rest on in houses and in mobile settings alike. Because it senses changes in the supply and switches over with nobody there to do it, it is the tool that keeps the power continuous and dependable.

Key features
  • Safety and continuity: if the main supply fails or the voltage moves, the ATS steps in on its own and switches your energy source over to the battery or the inverter, so the supply carries on unbroken.
  • Automatic source selection: the ATS senses the incoming voltage from the different sources – the mains grid, the inverter or other renewable sources – and switches quickly and reliably.
  • Automatic return to the main source: once the voltage of the main source is back, the ATS returns to it on its own.
  • Fast switching: the ATS is built to change over quickly, so the handover between sources is fast and clean.
  • LCD display: shows the state of the switch and of the power sources at a glance, which makes the system easier to watch and manage.
  • Off-grid reliability: designed specifically for off-grid applications, the ATS is rugged and hard-wearing.
  • Wide compatibility: made for use with solar energy systems, wind turbines, hydroelectric generators and other off-grid systems.
The ATS in a home installation

FR863 - ATS - Rete domestica
When solar or wind energy is enough to cover the household’s needs, the ATS draws the electricity from the solar panels or the wind system.

The ATS on campers and boats
FR863 - use in campervans

If the main battery voltage drops below the minimum threshold, the ATS switches the supply over to the backup battery.

FR863 - Use in campervans
A power system built around two batteries.
