It has a status indicator LED, protection against overvoltage, overload and short circuit, an IP20 protection rating and class II electronic insulation, so operation is safe and dependable. The enclosed design and the screw connections with contact protection make the power wiring safe to handle.

The unit accepts an input voltage between 100 and 240 V AC at 50/60 Hz, which leaves you free in how you install it. The DC output voltage can be adjusted between 4.5 and 5.5 V.
