ANGELO – Inclusive Open-Source Audio Amplifier

ANGELO is much more than a simple audio amplifier: it is an open-source sound platform that combines technology, empathy and experimentation. Born as a digital solidarity project through the collaboration of makers, university lecturers, designers and sound enthusiasts, ANGELO is designed to foster social inclusion and relational wellbeing through ambient listening.

The module facilitates emotional engagement with the sounds and voices of the surrounding environment, turning every laugh, conversation or melody into a richer, more engaging sound experience. It is ideal for social settings, group activities, teaching, creative experimentation and sound-related educational activities.

The design is compact, intuitive and functional: the switch with volume control, the status LED and the non-slip feet ensure simple, immediate use. The high-sensitivity omnidirectional microphone picks up ambient sounds, while the auxiliary microphone input and the amplified headphone output expand the possibilities for experimental use.
