Description

Based on the TP4056A chip, DW01A, and the dual N-channel MOSFET FS8205A, this small module is ideal for charging single-cell lithium-ion batteries.

The TP4056A is a linear constant-current/constant-voltage charger for single-cell lithium-ion batteries. The charge voltage is fixed at 4.2 V and the charge current can be programmed by replacing a resistor (R3 in SMD). It requires very few external components, making it ideal for portable applications. The DW01A protects the battery from overcharge, overdischarge, and overcurrent.

Charging method: linear, charge current: max. 1 A (with factory-mounted resistor), power supply: 5 V (via TYPE-C connector or pads), 2 LEDs indicating battery charge status (red LED on: charging – blue LED on: charge complete), charge termination voltage fixed at 4.2 V, dimensions (mm): 28×17.3×4.9, weight: 2.5 grams.

Warning! If using the USB TYPE-C connection, make sure to use a USB cable rated for at least 1 A.
