It is modular up to 8 digits and mounts on the back of 4-inch (about 10 cm) common-anode 7-segment LED displays.

Description

Control board with a 4-inch (about 10 cm) common-anode red 7-segment LED display. It lets you add electronics that turn a single digit into a display unit with an I²C-Bus interface and, if you wish, make it “smart” by fitting an Arduino Nano (not included, see related products); in that case the display can not only become a subsystem able to talk, for example, to sensors and to a radio remote control (to build a queue-management system) or to WiFi modules for wireless control, but it can also become modular, with the Arduino-equipped digit acting as the Master of the I²C bus and driving up to seven further displays (these without an Arduino board). It is modular up to 8 digits and mounts on the back of the display.
