500mA solar charge controller – MPPT for LiPo lithium batteries
SKU 1606-HRS1358EAN 8219671117623Format: RectangularPin pitch: 2 mmOutput voltage: 3.7 VdcBattery chargers
Description
| This solar charge controller uses MPPT technology to get the most out of charging a lithium-ion battery straight from a solar panel. It also has a built-in USB socket, so the battery can be charged when there is no sunlight.
Built around the CN3065 charge management chip, it charges efficiently and safely. Its features include short-circuit protection, a maximum charge current of 500mA and a wide solar input range from 4.4V to 6V. The LED indicator shows the state of charge of the battery: red while charging, green when the battery is fully charged. With a JST or PH2.0 connector interface, this solar charge controller is compact (2cm x 4cm) and easy to fit, a practical and reliable way to run battery-powered devices on solar energy. |
| MPPT |
| MPPT stands for Maximum Power Point Tracker. This point shifts constantly with the level of solar radiation reaching the surface of the cells. This kind of charge controller keeps measuring the power (V*I) produced by the photovoltaic panel, always giving the battery the highest charge current available, which cuts charging times considerably. |
