Description

Optical fingerprint reader with a three-colour status LED, a high-performance recognition algorithm, Flash memory and a UART interface (3.3 V TTL logic level) for direct connection to microcontrollers (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, PIC Microchip). Fingerprint data (up to 200 prints) can be stored in the module, and 1:1 or 1:N mode (see below for details) can be set to identify people. Particularly suited to access control, relay switching, automatic door opening, etc.

1:1 and 1:N modes
In 1:1 mode the print of the finger placed on the sensor capture surface is compared with one specific print, while in 1:N mode it is compared with all the stored fingerprints. So in the first you compare your finger with one specific print; in the second you compare it against the whole database of stored prints.
