SaveMyChild is an anti-abandonment device for child car seats with a built-in GSM module, suitable for every child car seat.

SKU 7100-SAVEMYCHILDFEEAN 8057190730257,

Description

It consists of a sensor pad, which is placed on the car seat itself, and an alarm unit to be fitted in the cabin within sight of the driver; the alarm unit is connected to the car’s cigarette lighter socket with the cable supplied and signals that the child is on the seat once the vehicle is switched off, by means of sound and light and through a call/SMS. The cigarette lighter socket may be permanently live or switched with the ignition.

Alarm notifications by call/SMS can be sent to up to 8 numbers, each with its own priority.

The device is completely self-contained (it needs no Bluetooth/WiFi connection) and works with a SIM card enabled for SMS/voice traffic. Should GSM coverage be lost, the device still gives the sound and light warnings.

It has an internal battery, recharged from the cigarette lighter socket, which provides the running time needed to send the alarm notifications even with the vehicle switched off.

SaveMyChild in the Complete Set version complies with Italian Ministerial Decree no. 122 of 2 October 2019.

The pack contains the alarm unit, the car seat sensor, the cigarette lighter plug with its power cable, the backup battery, the GSM antenna and the instructions.

How it works

ALARM WITH THE CAR SWITCHED OFF (cigarette lighter socket switched with the ignition):

If the car is switched off while the child is on the seat, the loss of power at the cigarette lighter socket triggers the sound and light warnings immediately, and they are repeated every minute (observation time). If the child is still on the seat after the second warning, one minute later the stored numbers are called, in the chosen priority order, to report that the child is inside the vehicle. The call cycle is suspended temporarily (for the inhibit time that has been set) if the person receiving the call presses any key on their mobile phone. If the child stays on the seat with the vehicle switched off, the alarm cycles are repeated.

ALARM WITH THE CAR SWITCHED OFF (cigarette lighter socket permanently live):

If the car is switched off while the child is on the seat, after 1 minute (observation time) the sound and light warnings are given, and they are repeated after a further 1 minute (observation time). If the child is still on the seat after the second warning, one more minute later (observation time) the stored numbers are called, in the chosen priority order, to report that the child is inside the vehicle. The call cycle is suspended temporarily (for the inhibit time that has been set) if the person receiving the call presses any key on their mobile phone. If the child stays on the seat with the vehicle switched off, the alarm cycles are repeated.

ALARM WITH THE CAR RUNNING (engine stopped by the START/STOP system):

The sequence is the same as the alarm with the car switched off and the cigarette lighter socket permanently live, if no movement is detected for 1 minute (observation time), for example during a long wait at a level crossing or at traffic lights. A short vibration of the alarm unit, for instance when the vehicle pulls away, ends the alarm sequence.
