Description

Based on the CN3065 chip, this compact charger with MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) technology allows you to recharge a 3.7 V single-cell lithium polymer/Li-ion battery through a small solar panel with an output voltage of 5 V (max 6 V). It features dual charging modes: solar/USB (maximum charge current 900 mA); various protections for battery, solar panel, and output, greatly improving the stability and safety of your projects. Applications: experiments, solar-powered robots, solar power banks, etc. The package includes the charger, a small heat sink, four spacers, and four screws. Note: the battery and solar panel are not included (see related products).

Technical specifications

  • MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) technology
  • For solar panel with 5 V output (max 6 V)
  • Protections:
    – 5V/USB OUT: short-circuit/overcurrent/overtemperature protection

MPPT

MPPT is an acronym of English origin standing for Maximum Power Point Tracker. This point varies continuously depending on the level of solar radiation hitting the surface of the cells. This type of charge controller constantly analyzes the power (V*I) generated by the photovoltaic system, always providing the batteries with the maximum available charge current, significantly reducing charging times.

Technical specifications

  • Solar panel input voltage (SOLAR IN): from 4.5 V to max 6 V
