Description
|
This simple project features a two-tone electronic doorbell able to produce the well-known ‘ding-dong’ sound, similar to the one heard when a button connected to a door is pressed. At the heart of this circuit is the NE555 timer, configured as an astable multivibrator. While the button is held pressed, the bell emits a continuous tone; when the button is released, it emits a second tone. Assembling the kit requires electronic components and gives kids the opportunity to gain hands-on skills in electronics, including reading schematics, soldering components, and understanding how electronic circuits work. The circuit kit runs on a 4.5Vdc power supply and is supplied complete with all the necessary electronic components, together with a power cable. The kit is supplied with assembly instructions. Soldering required.
