Description

The VS1011E is an MPEG audio decoder chip made by VLSI. It houses a high-performance, low-power DSP core (VS DSP4), 5.5 kBytes of RAM, a headphone output, bass and treble control and more. The VS1011E receives the bitstream over a serial bus. The data stream is decoded and then passed through a digital control. Decoding is managed through the serial bus. On top of basic decoding, user applications such as DSP effects can be loaded straight into RAM.
