MAX30100 Module
SKU 2846-MAX30100BRKEAN 8219671115773Item type: AssembledSensors, Sensors
Description
Small I2C module based on the MAX30100 pulse oximetry sensor, able to measure non-invasively the amount of bound haemoglobin in the blood and the heart rate. It is made up of two LEDs (one red at 660 nm and one infrared at 880 nm) and a photodiode that picks up the light reflected by the tissue to work out the percentage of haemoglobin saturated with oxygen.
It also has a proximity function to save power and cut down visible light output when the user’s finger is not on the sensor. The module can be switched off in software. In standby its current draw is almost zero (0.7 µA). I2C communication interface, power supply from 2.5 to 5.5 VDC, operating temperature: -40°C to +85°C, size (mm): 18.6×13.8×3.3. |

| The MAX30100 and the MAX30102 are both sensors able to measure the amount of bound haemoglobin in the blood and the heart rate. Both sensors can be used in wearable devices, in sports applications or in monitoring equipment. The MAX30102, successor to the MAX30100, has higher sensitivity. |
