Professional High-Sensitivity Handheld Thermal Camera with 256×192 pixel sensor
HikMicro Pocket2: pocket-sized professional thermal camera with 256x192 px resolution (SuperIR up to 512x384). It features a 3.5" touch display, an 8 MP visual camera and a temperature range up to 400°C. Compact, rugged (IP54) and Wi-Fi equipped for instant sharing.
The HikMicro Pocket2 is made for professionals who need an inspection tool that is always ready to use, without giving up image quality. With a 256×192 pixel thermal sensor and an 8 MP visual camera, it spots hidden problems in electrical systems, HVAC plant and building structures at a glance.
SuperIR technology and intuitive display
At the heart of the Pocket2 is SuperIR technology, which lifts the resolution of the captured images and of the live view to a full 512×384 pixel, giving a sharpness never seen before in this class. Moving through the functions could not be easier thanks to the large 3.5″ LCD touch screen, which lets you switch viewing mode (Thermal, Visual, Fusion and Picture-in-Picture) with a single tap.
Built for work in the field
Despite its compact size, the Pocket2 is an extremely tough instrument. With an IP54 rating and drop resistance up to 2 metres, it is at home in demanding working environments. The 16 GB internal memory holds thousands of images and videos with voice annotations, while the built-in Wi-Fi lets you share reports in real time through the HIKMICRO Viewer app.
Better image quality with SuperIR
The HIKMICRO Pocket2 is built around a high-sensitivity VOx detector (NETD < 40 mK) and a resolution of 256 x 192 (49,152) pixels, for outstanding image quality. With a fast 25 Hz frame rate and advanced real-time SuperIR image enhancement algorithms, it delivers a clear, detailed thermal view.
Dual thermal/visible camera
The HIKMICRO Pocket2 has both an infrared and a visible-light camera, so you can move between several image modes (Thermal, Visible, PIP, Fusion or Blended) and save visual and thermal images at the same time with a single click, giving clear reference shots. The result is an efficient workflow and a quick inspection report.
3.5″ LCD touch screen
The bright 3.5″ 640×480 touchscreen with automatic rotation makes the camera simple to use, including the advanced 1-Tap Level and Span mode, which instantly improves image contrast and brings any problem into view.
Adjustable image settings
Open up the image adjustment options to change the colour palettes, the colour distribution and other settings until you get the visual effect you want.
Fast troubleshooting
The HIKMICRO Pocket2 is an essential tool for fast troubleshooting in HVAC, electrical and mechanical work. It reads centre, maximum and minimum temperature values and raises instant alarms when the preset limits are exceeded, improving safety and keeping downtime to a minimum.
Flexible measurement settings
Adjustable measurement settings are essential for accurate temperature readings. With the HIKMICRO Pocket2 you can set emissivity, distance and temperature range, among other parameters, and that greatly improves measurement accuracy.
Wide field of view
The HIKMICRO Pocket2 offers a wide 50° × 37.2° field of view and continuous digital zoom from 1.0x to 4.0x, so you can capture larger areas in more detail without changing the focal length. It is a practical, ready-to-use instrument for easy, trouble-free image capture.
Work more effectively
With features such as text annotations and QR code scanning, plus single or automatic time-lapse capture, you can easily capture and annotate images to pin down potential problems. The swipe-down controls and the touch icons on the camera also give easy access to every function and setting, so you can change settings quickly and streamline your workflow. All of this helps you work more effectively and more productively.
Pocket-sized, portable design
The HIKMICRO Pocket2 is designed around portability and convenience. Its compact size and ergonomic shape make it easy to carry and to hold, and it slips neatly into a pocket or a tool bag. Take it with you wherever you go for hassle-free use on the job.
Reliable in tough conditions
The HIKMICRO Pocket2 can be used without worry in demanding environments thanks to its IP54 rating, which gives proper protection against dust and splashing water, and to its ability to survive drops of up to 2 metres. A built-in LED torch lets you work in poor light, record thermal readings and capture high-quality digital images with no extra light source.
Free professional software
Connect the camera to the HIKMICRO Viewer app over wireless for instant file transfer to your phone. Analyse, share images and produce reports right on site. Use HIKMICRO Analyzer for PC (Windows) to batch-analyse radiometric thermal images and videos, to support live streaming from the Pocket2 and to create professional reports and custom templates.
Typical applications
Electrical maintenance:
Blown fuses, loose connections or overloads in switchboards are spotted at once. The 8 MP camera documents the labelled components clearly next to the thermal map.
Plumbing, heating and HVAC:
Locating leaks in pipework, blockages in radiators and boiler faults. Checking air-flow efficiency and the insulation of air conditioning ducts.
Building diagnostics:
Quick scanning of walls and ceilings to find missing insulation and air leaks. Thanks to the < 40 mK sensitivity, damp areas at risk of mould can be found before they are visible to the naked eye.
Mechanical maintenance:
Checking for abnormal overheating in moving parts. Ideal for inspections in tight spaces where a full-size thermal camera would be in the way.
Electronics analysis (with macro lens):
Thanks to the optional macro lenses, it can be used to analyse heat on PCBs. Voice notes can be added to the images to record the faults found.
