What is Raspberry Pi?
A Raspberry Pi is a compact computer board that opens up endless possibilities. From the very start, Raspberry Pi was designed to be simple to use and simple to adapt to whatever you want to do with it.
Just connect a TV or a monitor, a keyboard, a mouse and a power supply and you are ready to go. One of the strengths of Raspberry Pi is that it suits almost every age group: whether it is used to teach programming to children or by engineers building complex computer-controlled systems, anyone can use one.
There is a wide range of “HATs” (Hardware Attached on Top) and other accessories that can be plugged into the Raspberry Pi to add specific features such as:
  • Cameras
  • LCD displays
  • Motor drivers
  • Sensors
  • GPS
  • Mobile data connection
  • Digital TV decoders

Raspberry Pi is one of the best selling computers of all time, with 25 million units sold so far. (Feb 2019).
