Description

Set consisting of the Raspberry Pi 3B Plus board and the switching power supply with 5 Vdc – 2.5 A output, four interchangeable plugs (UK, Euro, US, and Australia), and a cable with micro USB connector.

Raspberry Pi 3B Plus

The new Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ features a 64-bit quad-core ARM Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.4 GHz; onboard WiFi (IEEE 802.11ac) based on a 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz IEEE 802.11.b/g/n/ac controller, with Ethernet that can negotiate Gigabit network connections; the port is physically Gigabit but shares the SoC’s internal USB 2.0 bus, so the actual speed is limited to 300 Mbps; Bluetooth 4.2 LE mode, the most advanced of those classified as Bluetooth Smart and already suitable for WPAN support; support for Power over Ethernet (PoE) obtained via an additional HAT module (dedicated shield that provides power).

It has the same form factor as the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B. Video inputs and outputs maintain the same layout and features, as do the GPU section and the amount of RAM, which remains 1 GB and is shared with it. H.264 multimedia support, MPEG-4 decoding (1080p30), H.264 encoding (1080p30), and OpenGL ES 1.1, 2.0 support are confirmed.

Video input 15-pin MIPI connector, CSI (camera interface) connector for Raspberry Pi camera or Raspberry Pi NoIR camera
Outputs HDMI, composite video (3.5 mm jack), MIPI display interface (DSI) for LCD panels
Connectivity Gigabit Ethernet at 300 Mbps, wireless 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, BLE, Power over Ethernet (PoE) with HAT
Power consumption average 300 mA (1.5 W) at idle and 1.34 A (6.7 W) at maximum (with monitor, keyboard, mouse, and WiFi in use)
