6-in-1 Environmental Breakout: Air Quality, TVOC, CO₂, Pressure, Temperature and Humidity
SKU 2846-MODCJMCU8128EAN 8219671120210Item type: AssembledSensors, Sensors
Description
| Compact breakout based on the AMS CCS811 air-quality sensor, the Bosch BMP280 digital pressure sensor and the Silicon Labs Si7021 temperature and humidity sensor. It reports the carbon dioxide concentration (telling you how stale the air in a closed room is) and the TVOC (Total Volatile Organic Compounds), that is the concentration of airborne particles in parts per billion, over a range from 0 to 1187 ppb.
The CCS811 detects a wide range of total volatile organic compounds (TVOC), including equivalent carbon dioxide (eCO2) and metal oxide (MOX) levels. VOC are often classed as pollutants and/or sensory irritants and can come from a variety of sources such as building materials (paint, carpet, etc.), machines (photocopiers, processors, etc.) and even people (breathing, smoking, etc. ). The BMP280 is an absolute ambient pressure sensor. Its small size and low power consumption allow battery operation in devices such as mobile phones, GPS modules, watches and so on. The Si7021 is a humidity and temperature sensor that integrates an analogue-to-digital converter, signal processing, calibration data and an I2C interface.
