Microwave Motion Radar Sensor
SKU 3085-RADARMICROWAVEEAN 8219671092821Item type: AssembledSensors, Sensors
Description
The RCWL-0516 motion radar is a microwave motion sensor that uses frequency-modulated waves to detect movement and is particularly suitable as an alternative to using a PIR motion sensor. The sensor has a 360° detection angle and the detection distance can be set between 2m, 5m, 8m, and 10m.
The required supply voltage is between 4 volts and 28 volts. Typical transmission power is 20 mW, maximum is 30 mW.
Operating temperature ranges from -20°C to +80°C.

Technical specifications
- Pin definition:
1. 3V3: output voltage 3.3 volts
3. OUT: when it detects a moving object, it goes from low to high level (3.3 volts)
5. CDS: if held low, below 0.7 volts, the output will always be low even in the presence of movement
