Description

Module with 8 reflective sensors, each made up of an infrared emitting diode and a phototransistor. Each phototransistor is connected to a pull-up resistor to form a voltage divider. The beam from the emitter is reflected by the surface in front of it and hits the receiver, turning the phototransistor on and producing an analogue output voltage between 0 V and VCC (5 V). All 8 outputs are independent, while the LEDs are wired in pairs to halve the current draw.
