Raspberry Pi Hi-Fi DAC
SKU 3085-RASPBERRYDACEAN 8219671096935Item type: Assembled, Shields & add-onsRaspberry Pi
Description
The HIFI DAC+ expansion board, based on the 32-bit DAC chip PCM5122 from Burr-Brown Corporation, with a PCM interface at 384 kHz and I2S data format, allows you to build a Hi-Fi audio player (paired with Raspberry Pi 2B / 3 / 3 B+) that can be controlled over the internet using software such as Volumio, XBMC, etc.
The board uses quality resistors and capacitors, typically found in professional Hi-Fi devices, and supports hardware volume control.
The power supplies for the DAC section and the Raspberry Pi are isolated, reducing noise and delivering crystal-clear sound.
It features a dual gold-plated RCA connector for excellent conductive properties, a gold-plated 3.5 mm jack for the output line (not suitable for headphones, only for power audio amplifiers), status LEDs for DAC power and DAC operation, and an IR receiver.
Note: the package does not include the Raspberry Pi (see related products).
