Class D Amplifier 2x50W with TDA7492 – assembled
SKU 2846-AMPLID2X50WEAN 8219671079235Item type: AssembledAmplifiers & mixers, Educational kits
Description
Based on the TDA7492 chip, this compact class D audio amplifier delivers 50+50 watts of musical power into 8 ohms, 100 watts mono BTL (Bridge-Tied Load) into 4 ohms, and operates from a single supply (10 to 26 volts).
Warning! When the speaker impedance is 4 ohms, the supply voltage must be below 18 volts. If the impedance is 6 ohms, the supply must not exceed 24 volts, while at 8 ohms it must not exceed 26 volts.
BTL Connection
BTL (Bridge Tied Load) means that the amplifier implements a bridge-configured output stage. In this case, although the amplifier operates in stereo mode, it also accepts the bridge configuration, which will result in mono operation but with higher power.
Regarding the input, connect IN_L and IN_R together, while for the outputs, these must be placed in parallel, so connect R+ to L+ and R- to L-. After these connections, the amplifier will be mono, so only the source signal from the right or left channel can be connected to the input; if you want to amplify both the right and left channels, you will need two amplifiers.
