Description

Made up of a board with a large sensing area (34×47 mm) on both faces plus control electronics, this product is particularly suited to detecting rain. The electronics section has one analogue output, one digital output, a trimmer to adjust the input sensitivity and two status LEDs. The D0 digital output can directly drive devices drawing up to 100 mA, such as relays, buzzers, small fans and so on. When the sensing area is not wet with rain the D0 digital output is at logic high; when it is wet it goes to logic low. By connecting the A0 analogue output to an Arduino analogue input you can tell how much rain has fallen on the sensor. Power supply: 5 Vdc.
