APDS-9960 Gesture Breakout Board

Built around the APDS-9960 RGB and Gesture sensor; fitted with integrated UV and IR blocking filters, four separate diodes sensitive to different directions and an I²C-compatible interface, this small breakout board delivers light and colour measurement, proximity detection and contactless gesture detection at a distance of 10 to 20 cm. Power supply: 3.3 volts, Interface: I²C, detection range: 10-20 cm

With this RGB and Gesture sensor you will be able to control a computer, a microcontroller, a robot and much more with a simple wave of your hand! This is in fact the same sensor used in the Samsung Galaxy S5 and is arguably one of the best motion sensors on the market.

The pins are as follows:
VL (optional IR LED supply)
GND (Ground)
VCC (3.3V supply)
SDA (I²C data)
SCL (I²C clock)
INT (interrupt).

Warning! The breakout board runs at 3.3 V. Two-way communication with 5 volt devices requires a level shifter (see related products).
