Description

The HikMicro Mini2Plus V2 is the definitive answer for anyone who needs accurate thermographic inspections without carrying a bulky traditional instrument. This ultra-light thermal camera (just 24g) plugs straight into your smartphone or tablet, turning it into a high-end diagnostic instrument.

Higher resolution and millimetre accuracy

With a thermal sensor of 256×192 pixels, the Mini2Plus V2 delivers sharp images that let you quickly spot thermal faults invisible to the naked eye. The SuperIR technology further improves image quality in real time, while manual focus (from 0.1m) lets you examine both small electronic components and large surfaces of a building with great clarity.

Versatility and Full Compatibility

Thanks to its 3-in-1 connection, this module works with Android, iOS (Lightning connector too, through the adapter included) and Windows devices. With a frame rate of 25 Hz, inspections are smooth and accurate, backed by a dedicated app (HIKMICRO Viewer) that allows real-time analysis, report writing and custom colour palettes.

Durable and tough

HikMicro Mini2Plus V2
Designed to be used where you work, live or relax, the Mini2Plus V2 has an aluminium alloy housing with IP40 protection, passes tough drop tests from up to 1 metre (3.3 feet) and comes with a three-year warranty.

Image and temperature measurement

The HIKMICRO Mini2Plus V2, with PIP mode, custom palettes and 15 preset palettes, video and image capture, makes the job easier.

HIKMICRO Analyzer and Viewer

The online preview function of HIKMICRO Analyzer is especially valuable, as it gives real-time access to thermography data and greatly improves efficiency.

Typical applications
  • Micro-electronics and PCB analysis:
Manual focus from as little as 10 cm lets you frame single components on a printed circuit board (PCB). It instantly picks up abnormal overheating in micro-chips, capacitors or faulty SMD resistors. Useful for engineers and makers who need to check how heat spreads over new circuits under test.
  • Electrical maintenance and complex wiring:
Ideal for crowded distribution boards, where you need to focus precisely on a single terminal or thin wire without any blur. It finds loose contacts or corrosion that generate heat, keeping domestic and industrial installations safe.
  • Building diagnostics and window frames (energy audit):
It lets you study heat leaks around window and door seals in detail, focusing exactly on the point where air gets through. It locates missing insulation in wall cavities and draughts of cold air. It finds hidden damp patches thanks to its high thermal sensitivity (NETD < 40 mK), which is essential for preventing mould.
  • HVAC and professional plumbing:
Unlike standard models, you can focus manually on small parts of boilers or air conditioners to find the fault. Check that manifolds and thermostatic valves are working properly in underfloor or wall heating systems.
  • Automotive and engine diagnostics:
It lets you examine engine parts in tight spaces, focusing on sensors, injectors or single pipes of the cooling system. Quick diagnosis of car control units and wiring drawing abnormal current.
