Alphabot 2 – complete programmable robotics platform, Arduino compatible

Description

AlphaBot 2 is a robotic development platform that integrates an Arduino-compatible programmable module. It features numerous functions including line tracking, an ultrasonic sensor for obstacle avoidance, an infrared remote control, Bluetooth communication, etc. Thanks to the design, assembly is particularly simple and fast, without soldering or complicated wiring. After a few minutes of assembly, you can download the demo source codes and test the robot’s features.

All the electronics included can be managed with 5V logic levels, except for the OLED display which requires 3.3V communication logic; therefore, if you wish to also use the display, the Arduino board used must be able to work with 3.3V logic.

AlphaBot 2 consists of two stacked sections, AlphaBot2–base and AlphaBot2-ar

AlphaBot2-Base, represents the lower chassis

3. Multidirectional movement ball
4. Potentiometer to adjust obstacle distance
5. TB6612FNG Motor driver
6. LM393 voltage comparator
7. Rubber wheels diameter 42mm, width 19mm

AlphaBot2-Ar, represents the upper chassis

1. AlphaBot2 control interface:Connector for connecting to the lower board (cable included)
2. Arduino interface: to connect UNO programming module ( included )
3. Xbee connector: to connect the Bluetooth module and control the robot via BT (not included 2850-DUALBLUETOOTH)
4. Buzzer
5. 0.96inch OLED SSD1306 driver, 128×64 resolution

Package includes: AlphaBot2-base board, AlphaBot2-ar board, ultrasonic sensor, USB cable, flat cable for connecting the two boards, UNO programmable module, infrared remote control, screws and spacers.
