Description

Driver for brushless motors with Hall effect sensors (e.g., electric scooters, hoverboards), power supply between 12 and 30 VDC and max. 125 watts of power. Motor speed can be adjusted via the trimmer on the driver, by sending a PWM signal to the dedicated input, or via an external 10 kohm potentiometer (not included). The 15-pin terminal block provides contacts for connecting the control signals (BRK, EN, F/R, COM, SV), the Hall sensor signal (REF+, HU DC, HV, HW DC, REF), the brushless motor phases (U, V, and W), and the power supply connection.

Warning! The driver does not manage brushless motors without Hall effect sensors.

Technical specifications

  • Speed adjustment: from 0-100% via external PWM signal, via trimmer (on the driver), or via external 10 kohm potentiometer
  • Control signals:
    BRK: motor stop signal control terminal. When set high, the motor stops; when low or connected to the COM terminal, the motor runs.
    EN: end of stop signal control, slow stop of the motor when high or disconnected, low level or EN and COM shorted for normal operation
    F/R: motor rotation direction terminal. When set high or not connected, the motor rotates in one direction. Connected to the COM terminal or set low, the motor reverses rotation.
    SV: connection terminal for an external potentiometer to adjust speed (analog voltage input 0-5VDC), PWM control signal input for speed.

    REF+: positive power supply for the brushless motor Hall sensors
    HU DC: HU signal from the brushless motor Hall sensor
    HV: HV signal from the brushless motor Hall sensor
    HW DC: HW signal from the brushless motor Hall sensor
    REF: negative power supply for the brushless motor Hall sensors
