The IPS3608 is a compact and versatile digital-control DC output power supply, designed to meet the most demanding needs in electronics and laboratory work. Thanks to its advanced digital architecture, it combines fast response, high precision and ease of use in a single instrument.

To operate, it connects directly to the mains (100–240 VAC, 50/60 Hz), and the output is adjustable from 0 to 36 V and 0 to 8 A, with a maximum power of 285 W. Adjustment is performed with a resolution of 0.01 V and 0.001 A, while voltage and current accuracy are ±(0.3%) and ±(0.15%) respectively.

Sequential output
Set a series of voltage and current values that the device will run automatically in sequence, with the option of repeated cycles (loops). Ideal for burn-in testing, simulating variable conditions, or testing components that need to be dynamically stressed.
Current scan
Keep the voltage constant and automatically vary the current within the range you prefer, with adjustable step size and custom wait times. Perfect for studying the response of electronic circuits in constant-current mode.

Similarly, you can fix the current and automatically vary the voltage — useful, for example, for testing variable power supplies or checking the operating threshold of certain components.

Note: While connected to the PC software, manual controls on the power supply are disabled to avoid conflicts — management is handled entirely from the computer.

Basic Interface Overview

Waveform display area: allows you to record, save and delete voltage and current traces. You can zoom in or out on the waveform using the mouse wheel while viewing a single trace.

Output voltage and current settings: lets you change the voltage and current values for the currently selected preset group. Changes are temporary and are reset when the device is restarted.

Data groups (Presets): lets you quickly select preset voltage and current values. Up to 6 different combinations can be saved.

Measurement switch: measures the delivered capacity (Ah) and energy (Wh). The data is reset every time the software is closed and reopened.

Brightness adjustment: 14 levels available; the highest level corresponds to maximum backlight.

USB interface information: displays the device model, firmware version, communication speed and port, device address and connection status.

Basic operating information: shows the input voltage, output voltage, output current, delivered power and internal temperature in real time. From this section you can also control the power supply’s ON/OFF state.

Sequential output:
Automatically runs a sequence of voltage and current parameters, according to the set sequence-number range and loop count.
Clicking “Start” begins the automatic sequence (the other interfaces are locked during execution). Values that have already been set are marked “OK”, while those still to be run show “Waiting”. “Pause” lets you suspend the output while keeping the last active state, while “Continue” resumes the sequence according to the programmed delay.
In Manual mode, clicking “Single step”, you can advance step by step, manually controlling execution; if you stop the test, the output remains at the current parameter.

Current scan:
With a fixed voltage, this automatically varies the current within a defined range, according to a settable step value and delay time (typically used in constant-current mode).

  • Clicking “Start” begins the scan (other interfaces remain inactive). “Stop” interrupts the scan and the output is switched off.
