Description
Small breakout board based on the very small omnidirectional MEMS microphone INMP441. Just like the “classic” electret microphones, MEMS microphones can detect sound and convert it into a voltage, but they are much smaller and thinner.
Instead of an analog output, it has a purely digital output, via three pins: SCK, SD, and L/R. The frequency response is between 60 Hz and 15 kHz.
It can be interfaced with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or another microcontroller.

– WS: serial data word selection. Tells the microphone when to start transmitting data.
– L/R: right or left channel selection pin. Set low, it will transmit data on the left channel. Set high, it will transmit data on the right channel.
