What is Raspberry Pi?
A Raspberry Pi is a compact computer board that offers endless possibilities. From the very beginning, Raspberry Pi was designed to be easy to use and easy to adapt to whatever you want to do with it.
Just connect a TV or monitor, a keyboard, a mouse and a power supply, and you’re ready to go. One of the strengths of Raspberry Pi is that it suits almost every age group. Whether it’s explaining programming to children, or being used by engineers to build complex computer-controlled systems, anyone can use one.
There is a wide range of “HATs” (Hardware Attached on Top) and other accessories that can be connected to the Raspberry Pi to add specific features such as:
  • Cameras
  • LCD displays
  • Motor drivers
  • Sensors
  • GPS
  • Mobile data connectivity
  • Digital TV decoders

Raspberry Pi is one of the best-selling computers of all time, with 25 million units sold so far. (Feb 2019).
