Description
| This NO 80°C thermal switch is a protection device designed to monitor and manage overheating in electrical circuits. The term “NO” (Normally Open) means that the switch contact is open under normal conditions and closes when the temperature reaches 80°C. This makes it possible to interrupt the flow of current to the circuit and prevent damage caused by an excessive rise in temperature.
The device has a heat-sensitive element that senses the ambient temperature and, once the 80°C threshold is passed, trips the mechanism that closes the contact. Once the temperature falls back below the critical value, the contact opens again automatically, allowing the circuit to be restored. The NO 80°C thermal switch is commonly used in applications where electric motors, electronic equipment, battery power supplies and electrical installations have to be protected from damage caused by high temperatures. It is particularly useful in devices working in environments with temperature swings, or which could overheat because of a fault. |
