Description

Made up of two tiny boards with two dual-channel Hall effect sensors and two 6-pole magnetic discs, this kit lets you add a quadrature encoder to metal micro gearmotors (not included) with extended shafts. The encoder detects the rotation of the magnetic disc and provides a resolution of 12 counts per revolution of the motor shaft for both channels. To calculate the revolutions of the output shaft, multiply the gear ratio by 12. Warning! this encoder works only with micro gearmotors that have the shaft protruding from the rear as well.
