Tracked robot with electronics, DC motors and wireless controller

SKU 2846-CINGOLATOPS2NEAN 8219671105644Item type: Kit

Description

This complete kit includes everything needed to build a tracked robot: aluminium alloy chassis, tracks, geared motors, Arduino compatible board, shield, wireless controller, DC motors, USB cable and mechanical hardware. The robot, driven by a 2.4 GHz wireless controller, can travel over rough ground and carry loads of up to 5 kg, and measures 200x185x60 mm. The electronics can be programmed as you wish using the Arduino IDE.

The set for building a tracked robot with electronics consists of an aluminium alloy chassis, two 45 mm wide tracks, two geared motors, an Arduino compatible board, a Shield, a 2.4 GHz wireless controller (compatible with the Playstation 2) with its receiver, a DC motor driver (maximum supply from 6 to 24 VDC), a USB cable and all the mechanical hardware needed to assemble the robot.

The Shield has four outputs for driving DC motors (without encoders), a connector for the receiver of the 2.4 GHz wireless controller, a USB port for programming, a DC plug for the power supply (from 6 to 12 VDC), a Bluetooth module and a switch.

Once assembled, the set builds a tracked robot driven by the wireless controller, able to travel over rough ground and carry a load of about 5 kg. Its overall dimensions are approximately 200x185x60 mm (length x width x height).

The electronics can be programmed as you wish using the Arduino IDE, so it is not supplied pre-programmed.

Important! To fit the control board on the chassis you need to make an insulated mount, which is not included in the set.

Warning: The motors do not have encoders.
