| The PETG (polyethylene terephthalate) filament is a plastic filament that combines the properties of ABS filament (solid, temperature-resistant, highly durable) and PLA filament (easy to print). Thanks to these properties, PETG is a must-have filament for 3D printing. It is eco-friendly and can be recycled after use. Above all thanks to its excellent chemical stability, PETG is a material that meets all the requirements of the European Parliament and Council on artificial substances in contact with food and medicinal products. It can be found in water bottles, clothing fibers and food containers.
Our PETG filament is exceptionally strong, tough and odorless. It is an excellent filament that combines a mix of strength and flexibility, so it is also used for printing mechanical parts in robotics. Since it features an extremely low degree of shrinkage and warping, it is ideal for printing large items. It is a material notable for its glossy finish, and is therefore also used for printing decorative elements. To get good results, you need to print at a temperature of 220-240°C, and the print bed should be heated to 80-90°C. Note that the printing temperature range may vary slightly depending on the printer used. The advantage of PETG material is that it is very easy to print; you don’t need an enclosed 3D printer, and the print speed is comparable to that of PLA filament. PETG material has excellent support structures thanks to its strength, which helps ensure that layers adhere perfectly during printing, resulting in products that are structurally strong and resistant to mechanical stress. |
