PRO midi 1284P Developer’s Board
SKU 7300-1284DEVBOARDEAN 8219671113069Item type: AssembledArduino compatible
Description
Developer board specifically designed for use with the PRO midi 1284 prototyping board. It features a socket for the PRO midi 1284P and various connectors for connecting or hosting various electronic devices (including breakout boards, sensors, OLED displays) that allow developing applications that exploit the resources of the Atmega 1284P, such as analog ports, digital ports, serial ports, I2C bus, SPI bus, etc. For those who want to develop in the MPLAB X environment and perform both code upload and actual debugging, the board includes a JTAG connector to which Microchip’s SNAP programmer/debugger can be connected. In addition to the MPLAB X development environment, the Arduino environment and serial programming through the bootloader can also be used.

Pins and timers
The SPI connector makes the MOSI, SCK, MISO, and SS pins available, along with the usual +5V and GND, for connecting devices that communicate with the microcontroller via the SPI bus. If the SPI bus is not used, some of these pins can be used with the “Servo” library for driving servomotors. In this case, refer to the table below, which shows the correspondence between the internal timers and the corresponding board contacts.
