Description

One of the distinctive features of the DPOX180H is its digital phosphor technology, which allows an advanced way of displaying waveforms. It lets you see not only the instantaneous signal but also how it is distributed over time, improving the analysis of unstable or intermittent phenomena.

Unlike traditional digital oscilloscopes, which show one acquisition at a time, the DPOX180H builds up and overlays successive acquisitions, creating a dynamic picture of the signal. This immediately brings out the variability of the signal and makes it possible to tell stable behaviour from occasional anomalies, which are often hard to catch with standard instruments.

Colour-temperature display plays a key role: it assigns different colours according to how often the signal occurs. The areas the waveform crosses most often are shown in warmer colours (yellow or red, for example), while rare or transient events appear in cooler colours (such as blue or green). This gives an immediate, intuitive reading of how the signal is distributed statistically, with no need for complex numerical analysis.

By combining digital persistence with colour mapping, the DPOX180H makes it quick to spot phenomena such as jitter, impulsive noise, glitches and variations in amplitude or timing. In practice this technology is particularly useful when debugging high-speed digital circuits, checking the stability of switching power supplies and analysing PWM or modulated signals.

Digital phosphor display with colour temperature therefore turns the oscilloscope from a simple instant-display instrument into a dynamic signal analysis system, making diagnosis more effective and cutting the time it takes to find a fault.

The analogue front end is designed for a high signal-to-noise ratio, with shielding and interference handling that make the measurement more stable. It allows weak signals to be measured accurately, down to levels of around 10 mV, with less influence from noise.


Selectable 20 MHz hardware bandwidth limit

Hardware filter that can be switched in at 20 MHz to cut high-frequency noise and steady the waveform. Limiting the bandwidth makes signals easier to read by removing unwanted components and higher harmonics, which is particularly useful when analysing low-frequency signals or working in noisy environments.


Auto set-up and cursor measurements

One-button auto set-up quickly sets the display parameters for the signal. Manual cursors allow precise measurement of amplitude, time and the differences between points on the waveform. The result is fast operation and accurate control during test and diagnostic work.


Advanced trigger system for signal analysis

Complete trigger system with Auto, Normal and Single modes for capturing and steadying waveforms. It supports triggering on rising and falling edges, so specific events can be isolated and complex or non-periodic signals analysed more easily. Ideal for electronic debugging and diagnostics.


Adjustable adaptive trigger holdoff

Adjustable trigger holdoff steadies the display when signals are complex or noisy. It filters out unwanted events and makes the waveform more continuous, which helps when analysing high-frequency or low-frequency signals and signals affected by interference.


Built-in FFT spectrum display

Built-in FFT function for a qualitative analysis of the signal’s spectral content. It shows the frequency components and reveals harmonics, disturbances and noise, making it easier to assess how the signal behaves in analogue and digital work.


DDS signal generator up to 20 MHz

Built-in DDS function generator with frequencies up to 20 MHz, for producing sine, square, triangle and sawtooth signals. It allows functional tests, simulations and circuit checks without external instruments, making development and testing more efficient.

Waveform saving and screenshot capture let you document the measurements you take. Data can be stored and reviewed directly on the instrument, which is useful for later analysis, technical reports and diagnostic work.
