Description

PETG (polyethylene terephthalate) filament is a plastic filament that combines the properties of ABS filament (solid, heat resistant, highly durable) and PLA filament (easy to print). Those properties make PETG a filament you cannot do without in 3D printing. It is environmentally friendly and can be recycled after use. Thanks above all to its excellent chemical stability, PETG is a material that meets all the requirements set by the European Parliament and the Council on man-made substances in contact with food and medicinal products. It can be found in water bottles, clothing fibres and food containers.

Our PETG filament is exceptionally tough, strong and odourless. It is an excellent filament that combines strength and flexibility, which is why it is also used to print mechanical parts in robotics. As it shrinks and warps extremely little, it is ideal for printing large parts. It stands out for its glossy finish, and is therefore also used to print decorative items.

For good results you need to print at a temperature of 220-240ยฐC, with the print bed heated to 80-90ยฐC. Note that the temperature range of the printing material may differ slightly with other printers.

The advantage of PETG is that it is very easy to print: you do not need an enclosed 3D printer, and the printing speed is comparable to that of PLA filament. PETG has an excellent support structure thanks to the strength that helps keep the layers perfectly bonded while printing, so the parts are structurally strong and resistant to mechanical stress.
