1 kg spool of neutral PLA with a diameter of 1.75 mm. Suitable for use with the Vertex 3D printer and the 3D printing pen.

Additional Information

PLA, Polylactic Acid, is a bio-based material as it is obtained through the polymerization of lactic acid. This derives from corn starch and sugar cane and is biodegradable under appropriate climatic and environmental conditions. For 3D printing, it presents interesting characteristics such as a melting temperature around 160 degrees, which increases based on any other components added for coloring, and greater plasticity. PLA is rapidly spreading as a printing material both for its particularly attractive colors and transparencies, and for fewer printing-related issues. PLA parts are nonetheless sufficiently strong for creating printer parts.
