Description

MPPT charge controller for photovoltaic use, with an LCD display, 5V USB outputs and a temperature sensor. It draws the maximum power from your solar array in any weather and protects the batteries from deep discharge. It works automatically at 12V or 24V, for the best efficiency and reliability from your photovoltaic system.
This MPPT solar charge controller is designed to draw the maximum power available from your photovoltaic system at all times, whatever the weather.

A large LCD display gives you an intuitive interface for keeping an eye on the important system readings: voltage, current, battery state of charge and other diagnostics. There are also two 5V USB outputs, so you can charge electronic devices straight from the controller.

The built-in temperature sensor lets the controller adjust the way it works as the temperature changes, keeping the system at its best efficiency. It also helps protect the battery from overcharging and deep discharge, which lengthens the service life of the battery itself.

The controller is versatile in another way too: it works automatically at either 12V or 24V, recognising the voltage of the photovoltaic system and adapting to it by itself.

With the MPPT charge controller you get the most out of your photovoltaic system: the power produced by the solar panels is optimised and delivered to the batteries as efficiently as possible. That means the best energy yield from your solar system and longer-lasting batteries, for greater reliability and a longer life for the system as a whole.

  • MPPT technology: this type of solar charge controller gives the highest energy conversion and works with lead-acid, lithium and GEL batteries. Select the battery type and the controller detects the 12V/24V DC system voltage by itself.
  • Equalisation charge voltage: an equalisation charge helps keep all the cells of the battery at a similar state of charge and prevents electrolyte stratification, lead sulphate build-up and other problems that can reduce the capacity and life of the battery.
  • Multiple safety protections: the controller has a number of intelligent protections, including reverse polarity, overload, short circuit, reverse flow, overload, low voltage and deep discharge, for complete protection of the battery.
  • Highly versatile: the solar charge controller is suitable for domestic energy production, base stations, motorhomes, yachts, boats and other photovoltaic systems.
  • High efficiency: the solar charge controller uses a maximum power tracking algorithm that markedly improves the energy efficiency of your system, with a faster response and high tracking efficiency.
  • Charging power limit: when the charging current goes above the rated value, the controller automatically reduces the charge so that the solar panel works at the rated charging current.
  • Temperature sensing: the charge controller has a built-in temperature sensor, so it works steadily even where temperatures are extreme. It needs no external cooling system either: it is designed to work efficiently without forced cooling.
MPPT
MPPT is an acronym that stands for Maximum Power Point Tracker (tracking of the maximum power point). This point moves continuously with the level of solar radiation falling on the surface of the cells. A controller of this kind constantly analyses the power (V*I) produced by the photovoltaic system and always feeds the batteries the highest charging current available, cutting charging times considerably.
