Air quality Blebrick – ozone and nitrogen oxides

Measures ozone and nitrogen oxide levels and returns the Total Outdoor Air Quality value.

SKU 7300-BLEBOAQItem type: Assembled, Shields & add-ons

Description

The OAQ Blebrick measures ozone (O3) and nitrogen oxide (NOx) levels and returns the AQI (Total Outdoor Air Quality) value, calculated according to the standard set by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The sampling interval can be configured in the usual way (as on every device in the Blebricks family). Applications: outdoor air monitoring, detection of unhealthy outdoor air conditions, personal air quality monitoring, AQI-driven automation (HVAC systems, building air purification systems).
Specifications
  • Maximum current consumption while measuring: 8 mA
Blebricks: instant prototyping for IoT, smart sensors and RFID

The Internet of Things is finally within everyone’s reach.

Blebricks are smart building blocks based on a patented technology: by putting them together you can build new electronic devices that communicate wirelessly.

The technology lets you build devices even without any electronics or programming background. Prototyping is instant, which is why it appeals to anyone who wants to put together their own device quickly and easily.

How does it work? It could not be simpler

Each Blebrick performs one specific function. You can choose from a wide range of sensors, actuators, power and communication devices: motion sensors, environmental sensors, CO2 sensors, infrared sensors and air quality sensors, plus Wi-Fi, Ethernet and LP-WAN communication devices, to name just a few.

To add the functions you want, simply click the Blebricks together. They configure themselves automatically to work as one, and the prototype of your device is ready straight away!

You can view the sensor data and interact with it (locally, from your smartphone) using our MakeApp for Android devices. If instead you want to build a custom app, you can do it with MIT App Inventor.

Finally, you can interact with your Blebricks wherever you are, simply by connecting them to the Internet and logging in to the Bricksboard portal.

Thanks to this highly innovative technology, you can cut development time and cost by more than 90% on the way from idea to product. Blebricks are also low power, which makes them suitable for developing battery-powered, portable or wearable devices.

Because Blebricks are modular, the finished product is cheaper and quicker to build. Discover our Fast Route To Production.
